Standard mineral screens fail rapidly when introduced to wet Incineration Bottom Ash (IBA). The combination of high moisture content, extreme abrasiveness, and heavy bulk density causes rapid mesh clogging, structural fatigue (cracking), and uncontrolled moisture in the final aggregate.
Our High-Frequency Vibrating Screen is purpose-built for the Waste-to-Energy (WtE) slag recovery process. Through comprehensive material, structural, and kinetic innovations, this equipment stably and efficiently completes the critical sizing, dewatering, and grading operations required to produce high-quality secondary building materials.
The equipment is excited by dual heavy-duty vibration motors, forcing the screen box into a high-frequency, small-amplitude elliptical movement trajectory.
| Advantages | Specific Benefits for IBA Sorting |
|---|---|
| ✅ Structural Anti-Fatigue Design | The chassis and side plates are heavily reinforced with high-strength steel. This solves the industry-wide problem of steel frame cracking caused by high-frequency vibration under heavy, wet slag loads. |
| ✅ Precise Moisture Control | Unique mesh tensioning prevents sticky residue from blinding the holes. This guarantees continuous dewatering capacity, ensuring the final aggregate meets the strict moisture limits required for brick making and road bases. |
| ✅ Innovative Feed Protection | The feeding port is equipped with a rubber impact plate. This absorbs the initial shock of the heavy slag, preventing material splashing, protecting the screen mesh, and improving initial sizing efficiency. |
| ✅ 5-Minute Quick Screen Change | Features a tool-less, rapid compression device. Operators can replace worn screen panels in 3-5 minutes, drastically reducing plant downtime compared to traditional bolted screens. |

A: For the very first sizing stage (raw, uncrushed IBA), we always recommend a Trommel Screen, as raw ash contains long wires and bulky scrap that will quickly block a vibrating screen. However, after the primary metals are removed and the slag is crushed, our Vibrating Screens are superior for highly accurate, high-speed secondary grading and dewatering.
A: Because wet IBA is both abrasive and highly corrosive (due to chlorides), we strongly recommend Polyurethane (PU) screen panels. PU offers excellent wear resistance, does not rust, and its slight flexibility helps "bounce" sticky wet particles out of the apertures, keeping the screen self-cleaned.
