In a complete Incineration Bottom Ash (IBA) processing plant, standard magnetic and eddy current separators are highly effective for coarse metals, but they often leave behind ultra-fine, heavy metal particles mixed in the wet sludge. The 6-S Shaking Table is the ultimate finishing equipment designed to recover these lost revenues.

As a core precision gravity separator, the 6-S Shaking Table utilizes a fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) bed to efficiently separate micro-fine particles based on their specific gravity. It is the ideal solution for scavenging fine copper wires, stainless steel dust, and precious metals (gold, silver) from IBA fine sand and sludge before final dewatering.

Core Working Principle: Compound Force Field Separation

After the fine wet slag (typically <2mm) is fed onto the slightly inclined bed, the mineral particles are separated under the precise action of a composite force field:

  • Asymmetric Reciprocating Motion: The bed moves back and forth asymmetrically, generating positive inertial force and reverse friction. This causes particles to move longitudinally and stratify according to their specific gravity.
  • Transverse Water Flushing: A thin film of wash water flows transversely across the bed, flushing the lighter, stratified inert ash and sand toward the tailings discharge side.
  • Gravity & Friction Extraction: Heavy, high-value metal particles (high specific gravity) sink to the bottom, grip the bed's rifled streaks, and move steadily toward the concentrate end.

Eventually, materials of different densities fan out across the deck, discharging clearly separated heavy metals (concentrate), mixed middlings, and clean slag sand (tailings).

Core Advantages for WtE Slag Processing

Advantages Specific Benefits for IBA Sorting
✅ Ultra-Fine Recovery Capable of capturing valuable micro-fine metals down to 0.022mm, ensuring maximum profitability from incinerator ash that other machines miss.
✅ High-Grade FRP Bed Constructed from premium fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP). It is highly resistant to the abrasive and corrosive (high chloride) nature of wet municipal slag, vastly outlasting traditional wooden beds.
✅ Stepless Adjustment Operators can easily adjust the stroke, speed, and lateral slope while the machine is running, allowing rapid optimization for varying ash compositions.
✅ High Enrichment Ratio Delivers incredibly high-purity concentrates (e.g., separating pure copper dust from glass/sand), making the recovered product immediately ready for smelting.
6-S Shaking Table for Fine Metal Recovery

Key Application Scenarios in Resource Recovery

  • IBA Sludge Scavenging: Processing the fine underflow from Trommel Screens to extract fine copper, brass, and stainless steel before water treatment.
  • Precious Metal Recovery: Highly effective at concentrating trace amounts of gold and silver found in municipal electronic waste incinerator bottom ash.
  • E-Waste & ASR Fines: Sorting dense heavy metal dust from crushed circuit boards, cables, and Automotive Shredder Residue.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Is the Shaking Table necessary if I already have an Eddy Current Separator?

A: Yes. Eddy Current Separators are highly efficient for larger particles (>2mm), but they struggle to repel ultra-fine metal dust due to insufficient mass and surface area. Furthermore, ECS cannot separate heavy metals with low conductivity, like stainless steel. The Shaking Table captures these remaining high-density, ultra-fine metals via gravity, ensuring zero loss of valuable resources.

Q: How do I handle the wastewater generated by the Shaking Table?

A: The shaking table operates as part of our wet closed-loop system. The tailings (waste slurry) discharged from the table are directed to our Filter Press and Dewatering Screens. This system compresses the mud into dry cakes and recycles the clean water back to the shaking table, preventing environmental pollution and reducing water costs.
